At Bloemfontein Primary School, we aim to provide the children with a range of artistic skills in line with the national curriculum. Our curriculum is designed for the children to build upon their previous learning within school and encourages them to be creative. We aim to inspire pupils and develop their confidence to experiment and invent their own works of art. Pupils are given a range of opportunities to develop their ability, nurture their talents and interests, express their ideas and thoughts about the world, as well as learning about art and artists across cultures and throughout history. In line with the national curriculum, the children will also be learning about famous artists of the past and present. Some of our art topics allow the children to explore these artists and recreate their work adding their own spin.
